China isn't a commie country anymore, that's for sure. But it IS a police state. It isn't free. Nobody is elected, and people who are born in one region can't move to another region without a passport. China is one of the few countries (the only?) where "illegal immigration" applys to legal citizens.
If you don't get a permit to move, your kids can't go to public schools. Even developed nations like Germany, which require registration at a new locale when a citizen moves, do NOT require any sort of permission to make the move.
Now, maybe I HAVE upped the quality of debate in this trolls' den.
