More laws: It is a great mistake of our political process that we have *legislators* who people have come to think must lead us or be our leaders in any capacity. A legislator's job is not really to lead, or even to do stuff, but only to write laws. Separation of executive, legislative, and judicial sections of government was the smartest fucking thing in the world. THAT, if nothing else, makes me proud to be an American. There needs to be greater separation and public understanding of legislative and executive responsibility. Legislators should get paid less for the more days they stay on the job.

Social Security: Against. Worst government program ever.
Welfare: We need a new system whereby people who cannot sustain themselves are delivered into a controlled environment that 1) takes away freedom but 2) gives basic sustenance and support unless 3) they decide to get their act together and become productive. Something like jail, but not in a building but rather a housing-project like setting. If you break the rules of the community, you're on lockdown and get stuff (like TV) taken away. If you decide to go to school and become productive, you get to leave. Such an environment is run almost like a police state, every action watched, cameras everywhere,m etc. but only for that community. Want out? You're free to leave, go to school, keep your kids quiet, get a job and keep it.
War In Iraq: We could have done a better job of inventing an excuse to go there. But I think we needed to.
Tax Money for UN Funding: Only give as much as everyone else is giving.
Corporate Welfare: Interferes with free enterprise. Bad.

Oh, and kids kill other kids on accident all the time. A parent can only do so much. Kids are fucking stupid, and you have to accept that. Also, even if you train YOUR kid to be smart, that doesn't stop the stupidass neighbor kid from coming over and using it. Keeping the gun unloaded and locked really defeats the purpose of "self-defense", doesn't it?
Also, criminals usually don't "choose" their lifestyle. Most are forced into it because of economic hardship or other reasons. Sure, many criminals put themselves into poverty and desperation because of their own stupidity, but you have to understand that criminals are still human beings that need to eat, they just don't give a fuck about YOUR TV when they're hungry.

The second paragraph makes a little more sense, and even though it could use some stats I agree. I couldn't see myself owning a gun until my child was at least 14. While you also have a point in the third one that thing about hardships make them sound like victims. I dunno, but the problem is that for every individual there are endless small reasons that have influenced him/her, and then it becomes a bit difficult to decide what was a bad influence and what was a good one. If you ask me, free will is impossible, and everyone should be paying for the human-altering parts and factors of society that they have done nothing to improve.

Pro-life. Outlaw any abortions in which the fetus is conscious or can feel. Remove any (if any) regulations on contraceptives to increase their availibility, and reduce the number of abortions overall. No abortions without the consent of the man. If it is partly his responsibility (child support laws), then it is also his right, just like the mothers. This means abortion should require mutual consent, since the child is the child of both of the parents. State funded abortions are a terrible abomination and violation of individual liberty. Cut all funding for state-funded abortions, and cease the practice immediately.

This activity should be rewarded.
Also, a slightly related topic - the gun industry should not be held responsible for crimes committed by criminals. Lawsuits centered around this should be thrown out. The gun industry is a legitimate industry just like all the others, and isn't responsible for the actions of criminals.

The ownership of weapons has to be regulated to some extent (you don't want your neighbour to conduct nuclear tests in his back garden, right?). Exactly what extent may be debatable, but I certainly see no reason why it should be a fundamental right to acquire devices whose very purpose is to kill people (which is a crime in most case). My take on it would be to ban all firearms by default, with possible permits granted in special cases (e.g. hunting guns perhaps) and subject to at least a few basic tests of psychological stability.
