It's not all that simple. There was time when America was truly free state. Also during 60-70s Europe was more free than America while after 80s it seems to have sadly moved opposite direction in both countries. I suspect underlying reasons for these dark times is "political correctness" that emerged in 90s.

The solution is to stop asking for new laws to do this or that. The more laws there are, the more tripwires you can trip over and be sent to jail at any time. We should stop making new laws immediately, and repeal a lot of the old ones.

Victimless crimes are bullshit. Those laws (notably seat belt laws) should be repealed asap.

I'm all for that and also for repealing surveillance rights of police. New laws should be enacted that only convicted criminals could be spied on. More rights for police to use force against criminals, but less rights to spy on people.

Next, we have to stop violating the constitution & bill of rights.

Gun control needs to be stopped dead in it's tracks, and then what we have should be repealed.

Next, all this stupid NSA surveillance and searches without warrants from Clinton, Bush, and Carter, just has to go.

Really, which president was poor. Not born poor, but poor the day he was elected. They weren't all born wealthy, but they were all wealthy when they were president. You can't achive that kind of political power without achiving wealth.
