IS CHINA'S GOVERNMENT MEAN?

a lot of countries have their own problems with their governments, but damn, the chinese in particular seem to be pretty heavyhanded in their treatment of their citizens. is this just an exaggeration perpetuated by the media or are they really proper mean?

Exactly, it's the same, big-brotherish bullshit as was pulled (or tried to) in the Soviet Union.  People forget that these totalitarian regimes are responsible for the murder of over 170,000,000 people in the last century. 

Yes, that's more than every war in the last century COMBINED! To all those big-government, statist liberals who claim to be anti-war, anti-violence, you need to consider these facts.
