Traitorgate & Carl Rove

There's an old saying:  "A fish stinks from the head down".
So does this.
/background/
America is at War.  A Legaly Declared State of War.  And in a time of War someone screwed the CIA out of the front company that Ms. Plame "worked for" and compromised multiple cases.  The CIA asked for a criminal investigation.
/now/
All fingers point to Carl Rove and Robert Novak.  In fact those two are pointing at each other.  It's strangely like /b/, but I digress.

My point is that Rove looks like a source but to borrow a line I remember well:  "What did the President know--and when did he know it?

The law is clearcut--and in time of War, severe.  You get to chose, hanging or the needle.  So, how high does this go and how hard do they have to come down on this?

Respectfully, semantics rarly sway a jury.  "Military Action" equals "War" in the common mind.  And Iraq is not several Army "tourists" that got caught in a firefight.

I agree about the dirty tricks

That Carl Rove took it upon himself to do this is doubtful.  The Special Proscecutor (sic) is looking at the following people, among others in no special order:

Condi
Colin Powell
Dick Cheney
George Bush
Etc

So let's place our bets.
The last time this happened, the Vice President "Swung Slowly in the Wind" for something unrelated (Bribery when he was Gov of 'Jersey).  That's my pick.  Uncle Dick--because I don't believe they tell George anything except what to say.
