Goodbye, America.

So I heard that the US can no longer afford the internet, and will start shutting it down tomorrow. That must kind of suck, huh?
One day the worlds manly world police, and the next day the rape victim in the shower. I guess that that's what happens when your political system doesn't work out that well. I guess we'll see a british internet in the future, but they're not much better out either, so... ...am I going to have to learn chinese now or what?
What's the chinese word for porn?

Capitalism was bound to fail from the start. It was just a matter of time.

My solution was thus:

1. Use moist sanitary towlets to clean, not dry paper
2. Dab, don't wipe
3. I used a product called ProShield that didn't sting at all and gave me almost immediate relief
4. I use a quarter sized piece of fluffed/rolled surgical cotton after every BM, put it right up against the anal opening. It helps soak up stomach acid that your pouch doesn't absorb, which was the major cause of my dry/raw skin.

There is no reason to worry about this. IPv6 and modern router technology saved the day. Now we have more IP addresses than we know what to do with!

Just don't look into the FCC archives. Non-secret federal documents tell us too many upsetting things. I guess that's why you nerds only look at the bad intel that we label as a "secret".

Well, the World Wide Web part of it was invented by a Brit.

Nothing is going to come of this. People will forget about it next month and the program will continue.

Democrats and Republicans are both defending PRISM. Dick Cheney loves it and so does Joe Biden. California liberal Diane Feinstein (D) and South Carolina conservative Lindsay Graham (R) have completely endorsed it. Technically there wasn't a single law broken so no one is going to be prosecuted, excepted for Snowden. Every single elected official that matters is behind PRISM. You know who the people are going to vote for in the next election cycle? Politicians who would do anything to be a part of the political establishment that endorses PRISM. If you think this will shake up the established parties, I would suggest you don't know how party politics works. A politician plays ball with his own team or they don't get money from the RNC/DNC and they don't get another term in office.

Voters will do what they always do because at the end of the day PRISM doesn't immediately affect their lives. I am sure most Americans just assumed that the government had this power and pop culture depictions of the our intelligence community definitely reinforce that notion. I would even suggest that in their most honest moments most Americans are comforted by it underneath their outward layer of disingenuous incredulity.

This is just the latest fashionable "outrage" of the month. Rinse and Repeat in the "Most Free Country on Earth" that incarcerates more people than any other country in the World.

I personally think this whole issue boils down to how we classify "privacy" in regards to the digital age. Is Facebook or Verizon really private? Of course not. Corporations mine, compile, and share your personal data from the Internet and service providers like crazy. You're in their fist. But they're not looking to find terrorists. No, their intention is to manipulate every single aspect of your consumerist life, from what you "like" to what you eat to what drugs you feed your sick baby. People who spew vitriol about the government mining meta-data for possible terrorist links have misplaced their outrage. Go ahead and cry foul about a program that has probably stopped countless Terrorist plots, while doing nothing to you personally besides having your billing information floating around in Computer-land. Cry me a river.

Corporations in my business? It's more likely than you think.

In local news: Scientists found that social media can be used to predict the unemployment of psychopaths from stock market crashes in foreign nations politically destabilized by a crippling plague that will happen in the future!

Yeah, and I'm the OP.

Holy shit!

I think I wrote the thread because of the US starting to enforce heavy censorship. I had no idea that things would get even worse with PRISM.
