How do you grow up?

Name: Anonymous 2013-12-19 17:59

So, I used to like to spend my time playing video games and watching TV, and that is all I've done this past decade, but it's become rather boring and sort of embarrassing. I want to move onto something else but the problem is though that it's pretty much all I know.... What do I spend all my time on now? I'm almost thirty so does that mean I have to get into a relationship with a girl and have kids and all that weird stuff? I don't want to do that yet. It seems like such a chore!

Where do I go from here? How do I become mature? What's the process - in point form preferably.

Thanks,
Anon.

1) Slow down, you move too fast.  You got to make the morning last.

2) Just kick down the cobble stones.

3)  Visit lamp post.  Greet it, "What cha knowin'?
I've come to watch your flowers growin'"

4)  You've got no deeds to do, no promises to keep.  You're dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep.  Let the morning time drop all its petals on you.

5)  Life, it loves you.  Feel groovy.

That's not very helpful, >>2! Are you high?

You should sit down and think about yourself, what's happening around you, and what you are capable of.
Then you should decide what it is you want to do. ^-^

No one really wants to do nothing all their life. The first step you take may very well lead to something great or atleast fun!

Thanks for the input, >>4! ( ´∀`)

Hmmmm.... 「(゚ペ)...

I'm thinking about it and there is NOTHING going on around me but my crazy parents and I don't think I'm capable of much. In fact the only thing I like doing now is exercising. No, I'm not joking. I really do like to exercise. I've got one of those pull-up and dip stations you see in prisons, speed bag and a bench for squats and bench presses setup in my garage. All of which - besides the weight plates - I found on the side of the road. Score!

So I like to workout but the thing is I can't stand watching sports and am socially awkward, so jumping into one of those fantasy league things or joining some team is OUT of the question. And that just depresses me.

This is going to be a lot harder than I anticipated. That's what she said xD

I feel kind of like that guy from Office Space. I just want to relax and sit on my ass all day... Then lift some weights and hit the speed bag. That is not very mature though, is it?

Some people are lazy. You don't act like a 12 year old so you're probably not immature acting, atleast.

your life is over, just jump off a bridge

Futurist nailed it on the head. You've reached a crossroads, just figure out what you want to do next.

Some people will try to convince you that growing up is all about becoming responsible, independent and morally correct. They're wrong.

If you want to really grow up, you need to get your hands on some industrial growth hormone. I recommend getting connections in the dairy industry.

I've decided to say fuck it and just keep doing what I'm doing. I'm taking a nihilist view on life now. We are all going to die with nothing, our lives mean nothing, really, so what society thinks is of no matter to me. I'm going to enjoy myself as much as possible. And I don't care if that sounds childish!

Hey, that's one step up from what >>10 thought it would sound like.

Don't change these.
