If Micrsoft only made more bloated products.

See if they only made them more bloated and CPU/Ram/space intensive, we the linux guys could have even more powerful computers for gaming and 3d rendering etc. People would just run out and buy better computers and hardware and even me with 50 programs running ive barely touched the ram or cpu.

Name: Anonymous 2012-07-28 2:30

>>1 they throw out there perfectly good computer, we take the perfectly good computer Now you have a server computer witch has uses-es.. They buy a brand new computer for games.

Name: Anonymous 2012-07-28 2:41

They may even pay you for your time, then for your hardware that will break soon. then you tell them it had a bad motherboard fail tell them its a better deal to just buy another and when they take there old if you must out of the trash. Now you should have two computers. You didn't upgrade the ram you downgrade it, get paid and reinstalled windows with a backup. so doing this you upgraded your ram from there machine witch runs better for now. Then when they throw it in the trash you have not only been paid for the ram recived better ram now you get the same ram back and cash to build your next one.

It may be possible to get inside of someone elses computer that runs like shit it goes nowhere and just slight disconnect the harddrive and tell them this sucks how are you going to get a new one? if theres and indication then you ask for it for parts, if they say there going to have it reparid then you offer, let the clcle start and get there computer nextime after they pay you,

Go microsoft!! keep making crap for the stupid masses so we can push the industry to produce more powerful computers for us linux guys. The more bloated and memmorie leaky people make crap for this the better.

I can't wait for steam to start releasing games for Linux. Will be interesting to see the benchmarks.

I remember macs were shit compared to windows when they got steam.

When you manage to get a windows game running properly on a linux machine its not meant to run on, Its performance is unbelievably better. You dont even need to close your already running programs.

Personally I dont get why making a partition isent forced into common knowledge, as games could just run off a linux disk "with some licenses issues" and useing an etx3 partition for files between games.

have no idea why game makers are essentially giving money to another corporation.

Name: Anonymous 2012-07-28 21:09

These game companies would probably make more money by just handing out free linux CDs and makeing there software run on linux all they need to do is make the consumer learn how to partition a drive.

Imagine the performance on a stripped to hell Linux install that runs on 50-200 MB of ram. For gameing, thats compatible with any linux and you dont even need windows because linux is that easy to install.

I've used wine so much I'm an alcoholic. T'ain't the case man.

Wine is just a API, Its probably something else or your machine is running to much. Maybe because your using wine its just not running properly. Then theres bugs sometimes because your using wine. Some of these programs crash windows, and don't do this threw wine, sometimes its the other way around.

All and all, if they made games to run on linux without wine, way better performance, lighter operating system, more performance. Theres the graphics card, If ou can spend a millions making games can spend a little for working graphics card sofware and drivers, or people will do it for free because they use Linux.

Isent this the opposite of "going green" "Eco friendly"? Why should we trade off better computers over the environment? All that extra wasted electricity from %40 of those windows computers?

I always laugh when people bring IQ into an argument. The IQ of the person presenting it doesn't matter, the argument stands on its own merit or not.

See Linux is power-full if only more games where made for it and required the install. Theres always cygwin for the dust box windows.

Name: Anonymous 2012-07-29 21:15

>>32 why dont they just make people used embedded Linux on windows for gaming.

Don't change these.
