Oh, Marla. Marla, Marla, Marla, Marla,
Marla. As much as it pains me to do so, I am afraid I must correct you on a few points. Your glass slipper analogy is not so watertight as it appears. I noticed the following four failings:
1. The phrase "The condom is the glass slipper of our generation" implies that many people belonging to a previous generation wore glass slippers. This is simply not true. The glass slipper you refer to was worn by a girl from a fairy tale, namely Cinderella.
2. Cinderella did not throw away the glass slipper, as a member of our generation does with a condom. She lost it by accident when she was fleeing at the impending stroke of midnight.
3. There may be exceptions, but I believe it is not the common practice to wear a condom for the activity of
dancing. In fact, the purpose of a condom is to lower the likelihood of conceiving a child during
sexual intercourse.
4. "...and then you throw it away the condom..."
I feel like there should be some kind of punctuation here. I would suggest using a semicolon after the word "away" next time.
