And it does not matter if the people put up with cuts or not. There is no magic money machine. Cuts will be implemented regardless; anything like a real debate will involve where the cuts are imposed, not if they are imposed. And the 'where' will usually fall upon the less powerful classes. Government workers in Greece really have no power, hence their benefits will get cut. They can riot all they like.
