self harming girlfriend

I am in a bit of a tricky situation. My girlfriend is having a hard time dealing with some issues from her past and has recently discovered that the only way she can make herself feel better is through self-harm - more specifically she cutting herself.

I feel so stuck, she refuses to talk about the issues from her past (with me or anyone else) and is beyond any sort of rational conversation about why this is a negative thing to be doing.

As I see it I only have two options: 1) Standby and try to be supportive to help her get through whatever she is dealing with, but in the meantime watch her destroy herself; or 2) Run away now and leave her alone to deal with everything by herself

Both situations suck - I love her so I dont want to be apart from her, but at the same time I struggle to watch and think about what she is doing to herself - especially when she thinks its her only option and there is nothing else that will help.

Has anybody been through a similar situation, and if so how did you deal with it and what was the final outcome?

Maybe she's afraid you won't love her anymore if she tells you.

I am currently dating a girl who harms herself. Just be supportive. Obviously cutting isn't the healthiest things in the world, but it's therapeutic for her. Would you rather have her commit suicide? Cutting relieves her stress and makes her feel good. If you do not show dissaproval then she will open up to you. I personally do amphetamines to cure my pain, but whatever floats your boat.

Cutting won't destroy herself, it's just a form of body modification. There's not much difference between getting a tattoo (the preferred body modification of giant faggots/sluts), or cutting yourself. If tattoos/cuts are a deal breaker to you, leave her, if they aren't, what's the problem? I think cutting scars are hot as fuck on women, especially on the thighs.

Sit down with her and discuss if she could find better, more constructive ways of dealing with the pain, like you raping her. Usually selfharm is a sign of a lack of male dominance and rape.

That might not be nearly the same thing, but I'm dating an unstable alcoholic girl. She's getting better. Just be there for her and don't force yourself on her. She refuses to give the details, but we talk much about the matter in general and it helps, maybe not at eliminating the problem, but at alleviating its symptoms.

You are going to do amphetamines? Wise choice. You can get pharmaceutical amphetamines in the form of Adderall (racemic amphetamine), Dexedrine (dextroamphetamine), Vyvanse (lysdexamfetamine), and Desoxyn (methamphetamine). Prices for these are usually 1$ per 10 mg. 30 mg would be about 3$. Desoxyn is practically IMPOSSIBLE to get... but don't lose hope. I have seen it before.

Then you of course have your street amphetamines. Methamphetamine in crystal form is common and it costs about 10$ for an eighth gram. "Street speed" is either racemic methamphetamine or a hydrochloride form of dextroamphetamine, prices vary. MDMA is both a street amphetamine and a psychedelic amphetamine

Then, you have your psychedelic amphetamines. These are unique in the sense that they combine both the "i am so fucking powerful" feeling from amphrtamine with the empathogenic and spiritual aspects of psychedelics. What instantly comes to mind is MDMA, MDA, and MMA. These are all sold on the street. Then there are the research chemicals. DOB and 2c-b come to mind.

Lastly there are Cathinones. Cathinone is a naturally occuring drug found in the Khat plant. Cathinone is very similar to amphetamine, except it sucks. It's too short lasting and is not a durable chemical. However, cathinone can be chenically altered to make AWESOME drugs. Methcathinone is an extremely potent form of catinone, similar to methamphetamine. Mephedrone and Methylone are common club drugs that are cathinones.
