I have an idea for a television program. A man has a house full of budgies and they are always getting into adorable mischief, to which he says, "oh you budgies!" As a counterpoint, there are times when he feels loving gratitude, when he says, "oh you budgies."

Personally, I believe that BBC's good series stopped years before I started to appreciate them.

Now they're crap.

I think Oh You Budgies could be two programs. One is for children and has stop-motion animation. One is for an older audience, and the budgie adventures are mostly taking place in his mind. Mostly we see him speaking as if having conversations with the budgies, but they don't answer in any way more complicated than would be expected from budgies.
