The other day, I came on to /lounge/ and it looked kind of weird. At the bottom of every thread was a little bar that had the text "DON'T TYPE STUFF HERE!" So naturally, I typed stuff there. Suddenly, a rapidshare box pops up, asking me if I want to run spam.gz. I click cancel, but to no avail. I was banned for seven days. Now I am doomed to the world of proxies until my time is up. And they're really slow and full of ads. So heed this warning; DON'T TYPE STUFF THERE!
Yeah, that shit has happened to me before. It was when I was browsing using links (text based web browser).
Tell someone not to do something and a lot of the time, you just have to know why...
Doesn't seem to stop the fucking spam bots on the other boards though. You would think (listening moot? probably not) that having a ban issued for using the <a href=blahblah> tag would kill them off.
They got me once with that too. Like a jerk, I just had to type something into the "DON'T TYPE STUFF HERE!" box. Classic idiot trap. I got banned. I appealed it, and they yanked the ban in a few hours at most. Maybe it was moot or some other total faggot.

I can actually access it in Firefox by going to View > Page Style > No Style I've never tried it before, and since people in this thread claim that they have been banned from typing stuff there I think I'll pass.
