Im currently learning to type using the one handed Dvorak layout. There really is no motivation to learn the two handed system as my current one works just fine. Im curious, what are your thoughts on Dvorak, one or two handed.

I have heard that the world record fastest WMP count was accomplished using a keyboard with a Dvorak layout. However, trying to learn Dvorak would be confusing actually. Because QWERTY is ubiquitous on keyboards.

Personally, I think Dvorak is a very talented composer, and long may his works continue to be played by the great orchestras of the world.

I like his show The Cranky Geeks, downloadable on his website. It's a shame that ZnetTV/TechTV got screwed over into the abominable G4.

As someone who can type fluently on QWERTY, Dvorak, as well as a variety of international and obscure keyboard layouts, I can honestly say that Dvorak does not provide the significant speed increase proposed by the ignorant. It is, however, much more comfortable for typing English text. For typing in foreign languages or for programming, Dvorak is poorly optimized and quite annoying.
Not well-versed in either of the one-handed Dvorak layouts, but I can use them accurately at a severely reduced speed. Moderately comfortable for the common letters, but one hand requires so much stretching to reach the keys on the periphery, I wouldn't recommend it unless you are, in fact, one handed.
