For me shame is one of the worst parts about being a virgin (people wondering why i dont have girlfriend). This only contributes to the problem because the shame (guilt?) builds on itself. Does anyone know why someone would feel so ashamed of being a virgin? Is it just not meeting a social standard? I feel its more than that. If I could overcome the shame associated that would help my mental state a great deal in general in addition to probably being a positive step towards getting a slut's ass but I don't think there's a "solution."Im just kinda stuck at this point and don't know exactly how to react.

I'm already treated as an outsider by my family, and my virginity affirms their beliefs that I'm not a member of the family because I don't follow social norms like having sex and getting married. Even members of my family who are just turning 18 are getting married and having babies.
