Violence in video games

i have to present a speech and i was wondering why people think that video games are the primary source of demoralization and hate crimes.
if you do not think that video games make people violent, can you please give me a few reasons why you believe they are not violent.?

why do they blame games? cos those "in charge" are retarded. the end.

it's a blame game. have to blame something. cant possibly be tv or even politicians "leading" by example can it?

humans are inherently violent. goes hand in hand with ignorance. blaming something other than your own culture is easier than facing reality.

is it because they recognize the problem that is in tv with all of these shoot em' up dirty cop living on the edge shows? is it because they like these shows and watch them regularly. so the  best thing to do without getting your favorite shows canceled would be to blame another prominent target? lets say hmmm...
