Try getting a job, preferably in an office. You can socialise with people in an office better than you can in Burger King.
Try to arrange a 'night out' with some of your work mates, if you can.

It may take time but if you try and be a nice person at your workplace, even if you're shy, your workmates will begin to approach you. Just be patient and be kind to people.
