Economist tallies swelling cost of Israel to US

Since 1973, Israel has cost the United States about $1.6 trillion. If divided by today's population, that is more than $5,700 per person.
This is an estimate by Thomas Stauffer, a consulting economist in Washington. For decades, his analyses of the Middle East scene have made him a frequent thorn in the side of the Israel lobby.
I am sure that also makes him a hateful anti-Semetic.
Note: This is an old article I got in e-mail. But with the current war for Israel in Iraq and more coming you can imagine how much this tally has grown.

I don't understand why we would give them ANY money? I understand our own jews being the ones forcing us to, but I still don't know the reason. Isn't Israel considered a 1st world nation? If that's so they should have their own money.

Actually, many American Jews don't support Israel at all. It's the Christian Evangelicals that are so vehement about supporting Israel because they think it's necessary to cause the end of the world.
It all boils down to one reason, one term; "ZOG". Our government hasn't been "our" government in a long, long time.
