Let me remind you, what is dubbed as "the evolutionary process" is not only NOT the only way to evolve but considering the point we are at as existing beings it is without a doubt THE SLOWEST way to even try to accomplish such a goal, not to mention the fact that through it you yourself do not directly receive the "benefits" of the process (which by the way, there actually are none).

Huh? Evolve? Procreating does not help you evolve, nor achieve some sort of higher state of existence. Your sex drive is for survival of the species, and your need for intimacy certainly isn't effective enough to create a sense of humanity and morals in you. Society creates the morals and values for people. Simply acting on your needs will get you nowhere according to evolution, you'll just continue on the species.

Being smart and achieving something in life--doing something for mankind requires being part of the whole and not just eating, sleeping and having sex. I don't think it's even slowly effective to make a change in anything.

That being said however, you can be a great doctor, scientist, or philospher and still live alone. The difference is all about how much you want to enjoy life while you work towards a goal. You can do it by yourself or enjoy everything there is in life at the same time. If you like being alone so much, go live on a deserted island, drink water and eat nothing but bread. You "need" nothing else after all.
