There was a post on /b/ last night about the UK ISP BT blocking /b/ - which scarily enough does seem to be true. Clicking /b/ from the sidemenu results in a 404. Yet typing the link without /imgboard.html?/ at the end works fine.
Anyone know if this shit is REALLY true? Can I get partyvanned in the UK for entering /b/?

I've got the same problem, though I can't see any information about it on the BT broadband site (not that they put any information out back when they started with the transparent proxy either).

Does anyone have a link to any official information on this?

Can't be BT- I'm .uk but I have ntl, and I can't get in through the sidemenu.
Also, all my internets to the OP for that trick. You're a sick, deranged saint.

Yeah, there just is no information aside from a random /b/tard saying so, which is odd. Not like there would be a big message saying 4CHON IS PEDO LOL on the BT site either. I'm keeping clear of /b/ anyway, which is a GREAT LOSS, but eh, I read /v/ and /a/ more.
most tor exit nodes are blocked by /b/ for reasons of either "tor proxy" or "CP"

When I went on /b/ and submitted a post I got the message:
"MSQLFails!!!_MSQLFails!!!_MSQLFails!!!_MSQLFails!!!_MSQLFails!!!_MSQLFails!!!_MSQLFails!!!_MSQLFails!!!"
or something to the likes of that.
Maybe there's server troubles again?

/b/ isn't UK blocked. it's only NTL and BT that is blocking it. unless it's illegal to use proxies in your country, you won't get party vanned for using one to get there. the worst that would happen is losing your connection, in which case you can just pick up another. in fact you SHOULD be doing that right away since obviously your ISP doesn't care about your rights
