That's one reason why you need at least one non-geek friend. You can learn how to act and gain some interests that normal people like. It makes it easier to make friends.

why would you want to become friends with people whcih don't share any interests with you.
my best friends come from elementary school, and i hate how when people enter high school they get all emo and join some kind of cult or sub culture group. Then when they leave high school they become gay.
So half of my best friends change and become someone else. Luckily some of them are still normal, and thats why i still have friends , they are my best friends i consider no one else my friend other than them.
I would never hang out with emos or people changing their life just for some sort of 'idea'.
