Pimsleur

Are the Pimsleur courses any good? I mean, I know that they wont get me fluent or anything - but is it worth spending the month - two months for the entire courses or am I better off using a different resource?

Pronunciation is very important to me, but I'm willing to put extra effort in to learning it separately if Pimsleur isn't worth the time.

I'm using Pimsleur Mandarin at the moment, and I think it's alright. It's very boring to listen to but i feel like I'm actually learning stuff. Mandarin also has the advantage of having  a transcript (not official though). Pimsleur can be really annoying when you're learning a language that has no transcript available since you have no idea how things are spelled.

They're decent, OP. If you want to be good with speaking and proper pronunciation then it's one of the best ways of starting to learn a language.

If you've already started learning your target language then I wouldn't recommend going through Pimsleur, if you haven't yet then starting with it is good but you should probably not work on anything other than just the Pimsleur course.

The entire point of Pimsleur is learning to listen/speak before learning to read/write. The guy who developed the method believed it to be a more efficient way of learning.

Don't change these.
