Japanese class

Hello /lang/

I might enroll in a Japanese class next semester that I think will start in two months. What do you guys recommend? Any tips to survive the class without getting low grades and such?

Been memorizing some katakana and hiragana from a game I play

Haven't started to learn Kanji yet, and haven't memorized all the kata and gana characters either, still working on them slowly...

Thank you for your time.

Easiest way to survive a class is to know the stuff beforehand. Memorize hiragana first and get the grammar basics down from somewhere. Tae Kim's guide's is pretty good, http://www.guidetojapanese.org/learn/grammar

Well if this is a beginner's class. Then I know a whole plethora of resources that cover basic Japanese.
My favorite treasure trove aside from Google is Tofugu. They have an amazingly huge amount of resources for those teaching themselves Japanese. But these resources can also be used in conjunction with formal classes. Here's the link.

Cool, thanks. I'll try to memorize kana and gana beforehand.
