nordic languages

sup /lang/ I was thinking about learning a nordic language, no particular reason why, just bored. Which in your opinion would be the best to learn? I leaning towards norwegian since it's apparently related to swedish and danish, so this could potentially make it easier to understand them with more ease, plus easier to learn later in life.

Opinions? Rants? Wild accusations of homosexuality?

You and most people here are confusing geography with language families. There are no "Nordic languages," a Germanic subbranch like that does not exist (at least in English terminology).

When people say a language is Nordic, they mean it in a geographical sense, just like when they say a certain language is Asian. So, a Nordic language is a language spoken in the Nordic countries, which means that relatedness is irrelevant.

Finnish is NOT indo-european

As a Finnish speaker I certainly know that Finnish is not Indo-European. You don't need to reiterate and capitalize to convince me.

You don't know anything about studying languages, and you just revealed that.

And you obviously have poor reading comprehension skills.
