RELATIONSHIT BOARD

So, as a R9Ker, I see tons of relationshit threads every day.  They make up a sizable portion of the board.  Now I personally love these threads, as I'm a huge advicegiver, but I agree with the haters when they say that relationships should most definitely have their own thread.  Could I get some support on this?  Some yays or nays or a nod from a mod or something?  I'm so fucking tired of this petty internet infighting.

It's mostly like that now, but it started off as a really interesting board. Besides the relationship crap, there's much attention whoring, and not even just normal attention whoring with a plain tripcode. The attention whoring on /r9k/ is on a whole different level with people thinking that they're very popular when in reality nobody outside of 4chan or even /r9k/ for that matter would even give two shits about them or what they post.

Besides the problems inherent on the board these days, once in a while you'll come across a gem or two, but that is no different from any other board on 4chan.

1. Most are used to the imageboard format and it would seem foreign to suddenly use an all text-based board.

2. I also use 4-ch, and I respect the place. And I can't speak for all the users of 4-ch, but I believe that most would not warm up and be content to the idea of having a bunch of 4chan users suddenly migrate over to their site. I believe most would rather have a small community with a high signal-to-noise ratio, then be saturated with /b/ spam and noise. (I know it's /r9k/ we're discussing, but /b/ crap manages to leak onto that board as well.)

For those who are in favor of the creation of a separate relationship board, refer to http://dis.4chan.org/read/img/1233204985/9. I don't mind brainstorming ideas or discussing the idea of possible new boards to combat the issue, but whining and complaining and making endless threads about it here on /img/ doesn't do any good; it doesn't get anything anywhere.
