Repeal the "Japanese art only" rule in /d/

Name: Anonymous 2007-10-23 7:28

Seriously, it's a legacy from back when 4chan was only a weaboo anime board and it goes counter of /d/'s internal culture of being tolerant of eachothers' individual kinks.

Keep this Japanese only shit for /a/ and /h/.

Really speaking though, that's exactly the point. It's a HENTAI board, hentai is a Japanese word referring to Japanese material. The "Alternative" is just because it features stuff that's too messed-up to go in /h/.

Still I see no problem. Manga/Anime style content would still dominate as there is simply much more of it out there, but we'll stop getting into sagewars about borderline cases.

Besides we are in a glut for good content with the same shit being reposted ad-nauseam.

I can agree on the same-shit pointer, "if I see that fucking zombie/my life with comics/melonfuck again" seems to be the Number 1 Quote you are most likely to hear a /d/eviant say! Although to give credit, Muscle Monday and BBW-Wednesday churns out new material every week with minimal reposts.

One of the main reasons why /d/ is strictly for hentai is very obvious - it's naturally going to be filled with weeaboos who want to see stuff more kinky than just two anime characters humping each other. It's quite sad to say, but to some people on /d/ coming across a random Western pic is like coming across a furry in the middle of a Thread-of-Win. Also, going back to the "more kinky" part - /h/ is full of such prudes that they even seem to find anal play disgusting, there is no way that /d/ and /h/ could probably ever combine!

Borderline cases: I can kinda see where you're coming from. People cause shitstorms over Woot but effectively his work is in Japanese style, same with L0cke occasionally and his Tilt Mode. Shitstorms over these two haven't been made for a while - I guess fans of their artwork took the hint.

If your campaign of sorts unfortunately fails, then /b/ and /co/ are just two places on 4chan where you can ask for Western art porno (actually, /co/ I'm not too sure on, they used to allow it). /r/ even works if you be specific, and if you use it at the right time of the day!

/co/ never allowed nsfw content idort.

http://www.lokuras.net/index.php?cat=2 is an alternative for whining on 4chan since moot doesn't care and doesn't even want a /co/ porn board.

What we need to change the opinion is good western content which currently is like 1% of all the stuff unlike in hentai.

Good Western art does indeed prove hard to find, especially when you consider that you're doing it to appease /d/eviants. Zimmerman is actually quite good (pity his work is causing a shitstorm as we speak) and I remember a time where Mamabliss was actually a staple of /d/.

I also remember a time where Karbo was allowed, Western weeaboo artist but his work could easily be mistaken for genuine hentai. His work is no longer on /d/ purely because of the vore ban I presume, big wedge that.

I've peeked into /h/ occasionally and all I see is this same bland glossy professional eroge drawstyle over and over again. Nothing else seems to be tolerated.

I like /d/ because it has a multitude of different drawstyles. I don't want it to be /h/ with extra dicks goddammit.

It's pretty much become the way of life there. "/d/ is for dickgirls" and all that jazz.

The main reason why we have different drawstyles is probably because there are more fucked-up hentai artists in the world than there are "normal" ones - if you can call the need to draw hentai in the first place "normal"!

What's more important is better moderation in /d/
Seriously, there's like a full 10 pages of shit threads that don't need to be there on the first two pages alone

HAHAAH 4CHAN that's almost like jaking chan lolz so your all Azizen nerds with small duiks

Name: Anonymous 2007-11-01 6:37

SPOILER: The reason why furfags and western artists are banned isn't because of any grudge against their niche, instead it's the ultra-serious pseudo-legal "OMG UR STEALEN MAH ARTZ, IMMA CALLN DA AOL PUHLICE!" utter faggotry that they take with them.

I remember reading that FChan had well over three hundred artists on their "Do Not Post" list. Shit doesn't work.

Name: Anonymous 2007-11-01 8:26

I had a kooky idea.
Considering 98% of the Western art misappropriately placed on /d/ features dickgirls, could we not have a "Western Dickgirl Thread", say, twice a week? That way it would stop retards who think "hmm /d/ would like this, it's a girl with a cock" from fagging up the board as they're all rounded up in one place, and eventually Western art would be considered a fetish and slowly ignored as every thread just turns out to be reposts, eventually going down the same route as vore and disappearing off the face of /d/, coming back only twice a year.

And for the more sadistic Nazi mods, they could just ban everybody who posts in said Western threads.

Dmitrius isn't Japanese. He seems pretty fucking popular.
As are Kinky Jimmy  and a shitload of other artists.
Get over  the whole whining thing, and respect that Kinky shit of quality comes from all over.

Name: Anonymous 2007-11-03 18:24

Dmitrys is (or *was*) "pretty fucking popular" because he used to visit /d/ a lot. We made an exception for him, newfag.

The funny thing is, that to many people's eyes, Dmitrys' style is quite manga/anime-like.

And don't get me started on the Tilt Mode meltdown. If that wasn't anime-style, what the hell would be then?

Take a look at /u/ and /y/. They are mainly and majorily anime-themed, yet they don't get their collective panties in a knot if a few non-japanese things get posted. And the only faggotry that goes on there is of the sexual observation kind.

Yes. Yes they do. Especially /y/

Name: Anonymous 2007-11-30 12:32

If a mod banned somebody for starting a Western art thread but used the "USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST" attachment then guaranteed people would screencap it, motivational-posteralise it and repost it til kingdom come, causing Westernartfags to get the hint and leave for a while. They're more than happy to do it for requesters, so it leads me to think that they're not as serious about Western art anymore.

Gedatsu is a fag btw

Don't change these.
