Does anyone know what exactly these guys are going to be used for? I think mine is really cute, and I'd like to use him in a game or something. But all he does is sit there smiling, ready to do nothing all day. Rare ought to be working on a companion game.

I feel like they've kept it separate enough. Wii is totally casual, but Xbox is handling hardcore games that we like and shoving in casual shit on XBLA.

You're thinking of what I said backwards. I didn't say everything on XBLA was casual, I just meant that a lot of the stuff that is casual gets put on XBLA.
I've read that Microsoft has "big plans" for the avatars in the future (in Official Xbox Mag UK), but they were reluctant to reveal details, so who knows, it may be an entirely new spin on what is basically a Mii
