Why is it everyone who works at GameCrazy and GameStop are complete noobs and have no idea what the SNES was? They know nothing about video game history. They suck at video games. Their first system was a PS2 yet somehow they're "expert gamers". Noobs don't deserve their jobs.

Oh come on: SNES makes you an expert gamer? While some where really difficult to master, their level of complexity (2D block graphics) was by far inferior to the games of today.
If by "expert gamer" you mean "a walking encyclopedia", todays games are more relevant issues, as nobody would consider playing Zelda II today.
Let me explain why these guys don't know what a SNES is: SNES was released 17-14 years ago. The typical "hip youngster" clerk (at around 25) was then 8-11 years old. These people are starting to forget they games you played. You're getting old.

I'm younger than 25 and I know about classic gaming.
These days, real gamers know what they want anyway. The people at gamestop are simply there to buy, trade, or sell video game merchandise. It's not like the ladies who work at the shoe store know when the new nike's are coming out, or what colors those heels are available in. You just go in, pick out want you want, and give them your money.
I admit it kind of sucks that people are getting money off of video games, who don't even like them. And it especially sucks when they try and screw over people who have always been dedicated to games sinse they were old enough to choose what they do with their spare time. But I also know someone who works at such a store, who didn't like video games much at first. And only now are they realizing how great video games are. I think that's a beautiful thing. So they never played some of the classics.
And personally, after seeing what SNES did to mortal kombat, changing the music and taking out the blood, I stuck with sega genisis for the most part. I was still aware of the snes and its games, but when I had a nintendo craving, I'd usually stick with the original. And no matter who you are or what you played, there are always tons of games that you didn't get the chance to experience. Maybe even some great ones you never heard of. The people at the game stores, sadly, usually, even more so.

If someone's first system was an Xbox or Ps2 they're a noob. No question.
Amen, >>13. Some of the most legendary games to ever come out were on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (okay, so who didn't know it stood for that phrase?), also known as the SNES. I'm talking about titles like Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Am I right? Huh? Huh?

What's that "snes" thing? A gay name for Super Famicom?
What I hate is those that just cannot refer you to good games correctly, because the only games they know are classic ones that you always already have. It's a miracle, the only video games shop in my town have true players that knew the SNES period and can refer me to really good games when I run out of choice (because I have too many games xD)

Mario Bros. or Super Mario Bros. were never for the SNES.
There was a game called Super Mario All-Stars (called Super Mario Collection in Japan) which included updated and enhanced versions of Super Mario Bros. in addition to Super Mario Bros. 2 (called Super Mario USA in Japan), Super Mario Bros. 3, and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (called Super Mario Bros. 2 in Japan) and a later version called Super Mario All-Stars + Super Mario World included Super Mario World. To my knowledge no incarnation of just regular "Mario Bros." ever appeared on the SNES.
Also many people like to bash on Super Mario Bros. USA. If it wasn't for the Americans turning Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic into a Mario game the Mario Universe would be much different. That game established Luigi as being taller than Mario. It introduced many characters such as Bob-ombs, Pokeys, Pidgits, Ninjis, Snifits, Shy Guys, Birdo and of course Wart.

What are you talking about? I'm 23 and grew up playing the Atari 5200, NES, TurboGrafix, Genisis (AKA Master System). Played all of the Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, and Sega consoles since then.
Mario Bros. was an arcade cabinet. Super Mario Bros. I and III was for the NES (II is not a true Mario game). Super Mario World was for the SNES.

People at game stores are usually fucking noobs and have no knowledge of the classics or history of video games and have no passion for video games.
Man you're complaining about people not knowing what the SNES was? I'm complaining about people not knowing what the Atari 2600, NES, Master System, and other classic shit was.

well yea, cuz all they need to do is learn how to sell video games, with passion, and enthusiasm, and hope to lure customers/bystanders/walk-in guys/girls to pre-order games they didn't really intend to pre-order. I mean they don't even have to showcase them playing a video game in order to sell thier games. Hell, they could be working at a toyshop like KB toys before they switched over to gamestop.

You should take a test to get a job at a game store.
