oho i pres X BUTAN and emenys die
BRILLIANT!

It's pretty rudimentary for such a hyped series. But, I guess Gungrave, DMC, and a handful of all my other favorite games could be considered as such just as easily. *sigh*

I liked both, but Shinobi's life-sucking sword was just... wrong.
On other hand, Nightshade's graphics are somewhat better, but the voice-acting was so horrible that I had to import the Japanese version.
Not to mention Hibana is an emo-girl yelling "Today isn't my day" every 5 minutes.

I loved it.

Did you even play this game?  Or DMC for that matter?  Reviewers probably complained about Shinobi and DMC's difficulty because they were mashing the attack button and expecting the enemies to die.

If he played through Shinobi he wouldn't be saying that.

There's no Japanese audio option in NIGHTSHADE? DDD:

Not that I'd notice, unless it's some ultra-secret cheat code.

Just to clarify, voice-acting is really poorly done, but original Resident Evil is still unbeatable. And the japanese version doesn't help too, Hibana sounds a little like Motoko Kusanagi, from Ghost in the Shell (movie), which would be suitable, but the voice-actress seems so... uninspired. Better than the western version, but not that much.

On other hand, Kunoichi has some good replay value, as you can unlock Hibana's rival, Hisue and Hotsuma, from the previous game, changing the game's pace a bit. I still have to unlock Joe Musashi (the legendary Shinobi, from the 16-bit era), though.

I know that feeling. DMC was a good frustratin' challenge, it wasn't no cheap-ass platformer death. Unless he found some secret code by accident that lets you play DMD difficulty from the beginning. Then I'd just laff.

Don't change these.
