Deus Ex: The Conspiracy

Most underrated game ever, this game is BEGGING for a re-make, think a really really multipathed RPG, excepts its not an RPG, but an FPS

Name: Anonymous 2005-07-27 23:51

Deus Ex fucked up when they decided to impliment the Havok engine. But I did like the story line.

Name: Anonymous 2005-07-28 21:28

Deus Ex won't get a remake because Invisible War sucked ass.

Name: Anonymous 2005-07-31 5:36

Huh? Most underrated game ever? The PC version only won several game of the year awards.

yes it did, but they should remake the conspiracy, they NEED to, especially with the next gen systems coming out.

I don't understand people's fascination with remakes. DX1 was a DOS game, right? So you can get it to play on any current setup as long as you have DOSBox, right? What's the issue?

A remake is only going to disappoint you. You'll just end up saying "That was better in the original" or "Why didn't they include this?". The only good remakes were the King's Quest 1 and 2, and those weren't even made by Sierra.

Some just won't plain work in Dosbox. I should know, I have quite a few 3.5 shooters that didn't. ;-;
I even conscripted TWO geeks to give it a crack.

DX was not made by Sierra but it doesn't need a remake, the originals were made of win 95/98 so it should work fine with XP

Yeah, DX wasn't DOS.  Damn, this thread makes me want to play Deus Ex again.

<obligatory>Deus Ex: Invisible War sucked.</obligatory>

i love the deus ex, and sin was good too

Deus Ex was DOS?

Holy fuck, man. The game came out in 2000, almost half a decade after DOS games died. You mean to tell me you weren't around in 2000?

DOS games have never died, they have been a balanced part of my diet for ages.

Name: Anonymous 2005-08-08 8:44

oh yeah? well i eat an infocom disk once for breakfast, again for lunch, and then enjoy a balanced dinner

Name: Anonymous 2005-08-08 12:57

My 5 1/4 disks don't work anymore :(

It's been said already and we all know it anyway, but I can't help myself: Invisible War was awful.

Name: Anonymous 2005-08-14 1:36

Not only did they kill Deus Ex, they also killed Thief. Fuckers.

Name: Anonymous 2005-08-15 14:36

theif was a great game too.

Name: Anonymous 2005-08-15 15:45

Thief was awesome. You get to steal from, and assassinate, a god. The last level in Thief 2 was epic though, it was almost a game in itself.

Over the summer I went on a big "classic gaming" nostalgia trip.  I played Deus Ex for the first time ever and I was blown away by how much fun it is.  Too bad DE2 wasn't anywhere near as good...

Name: Anonymous 2005-08-15 23:45

Ultima Underworld 2 is actually good once you get used to its horrible graphics.

Name: Anonymous 2012-07-26 17:19

>2005
Shiggy diggy.

even in 05, Deus Ex was so dated they called it "classic"

Suck it, Deus Ex faggots

I don't care. The new game makes up for any flaws it might have had. It's up there with System Shock 2.

I think you're misconstruing what the term classic means.

Don't change these.
