but I'm afraid to go into bars. There aren't any upscale, pretentious bars near me, just cheap looking ones with really fat dudes and scary biker dudes. I'm afraid if I go in they'll giggle and make fun of me, or even anally rape me - I'm half asian so I have that boyish, malnourished look even though I've never purposefully dietted or gone vegetarian. Am I overreacting, or should I just wait till I can move to a better area?

Durrr, I do drink at home. How else would I have come to love beer? It's just that there aren't any really good liquor stores near me... It takes a road trip to stock up on the stuff I really like. I just figured the bars might be better. And I can go through at least a couple 750ml bottles of 10%+ ABV before getting to near to falling out of a chair.
