I can see like, getting a medium or a medium rare if you don't trust the chef, but there's no need to get a well done unless you're eating meat that's possibly infected.

I guess for me it all comes down to the cut of beef. I't blasphemy to order a filet mignon any way other than rare (Hell, when the center just starts getting warm, it's done!), but other cuts need a little more time on the grill. On something thin cut like a normal grocery store T-Bone, medium rare is my fav. Hell, on something like a tri-tip I go with straight up medium.

rare? I actually don't particularly care if my steak is warm, let alone cooked. I enjoy scaring people with that as well. And I refues to eat a steak if i consider it over cooked. I enjoy it to still taste like the animal. Steak sause is for people that don't like the flavor of the animal or don't think it's enough. I use sause for chicken, beef just needs some butter and salt. and it doesn't really need anything at all. Have you ever taken a piece of meat from a fresh kill and eaten it still warm. It's like heroine I am telling you. BTW this is not a prank post, i am 100% serious about all of this. Eating raw steak isn't very dangerous. Eating raw ground beef is another thing altogether, but ground beef is quite often made from remains swept off the floor, where steak isn't. ground beef is very much processed, a good steak isn't. even assuming bad hygene on the part of the butcher. all you need is to cook the outside half inch to steralize the meat. the rest never touched a knife. True resturantes don't give you rare steak because they are afraid of a lawsuite. Last time i ordered a steak at a resturante was many years ago. I told her "I want it as raw as you can legally give it to me". you should have seen the look on the poor girls face when i said it was over cooked. It was not only priceless, I didn't have to pay for the steak, so it liteally was priceless. And any veggie people hear I don't care what you have to say. You stand so much for animal rights, and how i am eating someones baby because evey animal has a mother that loves it. I want to take your family to the zoo and feed your babies to the baby lions. because the animals deserve treated and fed well, but we certainly can't feed them the child of a cow, because that would be horrible. Seeing as your wisdom is the only one that can comprehend that fact. your family SHOULD have the honor of feeding the baby lions. They are an indanged species after all.

The juices that come out of meat aren't blood. It's basically moisture contained in the cells as they break down from cooking. Fawk, don't any of you ass holes watch Alton Brown.
Most of the blood is removed from the animal during slaughter. The whole reason we leave the animals alive when we slit the throat is so the heart can keep beating and pump most of the blood out.
A1 steak sauce seems to be an artifact of people who never got to eat good meat. If you grew up eating over done grade D meat, yeah, you had to use A1 to eat it. The people who like a good rare cut of meat are like me and got to eat a lot of dry aged prime and other stuff on the grill.
