Computer Help

I have a computer problem question.  The problem started with the computer freezing whenever I would play games or watch HD video.  This went on for about a week before turning on the computer became a problem.  The power light, fans, DVD-ROM, and hard drive would come on but nothing would show up on the monitor.  It would do this for a couple of restarts before it would finally work.  Now it never comes on and the power light, video card fan, and hard drive don’t power on, but everything else does(DVD-ROM, the other fans, mb lights, etc.).  I've tried switching around and switching out the RAM and hard drives and even switching to onboard video.  Any ideas would be much appreciated!

I say it has something to do with the video card but I'm no expert. Just giving you a second opinion and helping you bump the thread up to the top.

reset bios and try again with onboard video if that doesnt work, test the power supply unit. if that still doesnt work, get a new mobo.

OP here:
Can't even get to BIOS and how do I test my power supply?  Seems like it is giving out some power since some components power up.

mmmm....... can you get your hands on another psu? if so, install that one and see if it works, then you know you have to replace yours with a new one. to reset the bios you usually change the position of a pin plug, look around the cmos chip or near the coin cell battery, or just unplug all peripherals, unplug power cord, remove coin cell battery, press power button for about 20 seconds, leave it without the coin cell battery for about one minute, put it back, plug in peripherals and power cord and turn on.

Well, you may need a new power supply unit.

But before buying a new one, try removing yours and making sure all the ports are working. Some graphics cards suck more power than the unit can supply..

Don't change these.
