My hp pavillion 2000's screen has been broken. The screen displays colour, yes, but there's no light coming out of it ):
Right now I am leaning at an angle in order to shit!. /comp/ got any advice?

I haven't been shitting on my laptop. I was seeing shit because I was on /b/.
Anyway, the backlight came , magically, back on. Could it be the trigger or sensor for Turning off the backlight when closing the laptop that got stuck?

That switch doesn't just turn off the backlight, it also blanks the screen (and does some other things, depending on the OS and your configuration). If that was the case, you wouldn't have been able to use your laptop even while shitting at an angle.

It's definately the trigger. Sometimes it spontaneously goes off(backlight) and into hibernation. To get it back on I must change the screen's angle.
