formatting SD card

Name: Anonymous 2007-06-22 0:15 ID:sB17N8mP

hey guys, i got a small question for ya.

i found this 1 gig SD card on the ground at my work, and it's got some files on it. i found an email address in one of the word files, and sent an email to it asking if they had lost an SD card. it's been like two weeks so far and no answer. since i dont think anyone is gonna claim it, i'm trying to format the card but it says it's write protected. there's a little switch on the actual card but on 'unlocked' so it's not that, but when i try taking 'read only' off some of the files individually, they go back to being checked.

any ideas on how to clean out this thing? any sort of hard format that'll ignore read only stuff?

Somehow I get the idea that someone just bumped this thread to make the point that he hasn't read SICP.

No. Good effort though, bonus points for follow-up post, but still the answer is no.

What is the exact message it says when you try to format the card?

It says "Error: you are retarded" and the only option is to click "Become an hero"! What should I do?

yu only have one choice. choose it wisely.

it says:

[Formatting Removable Disk (J:)]
[!] The disk is write protected.

when deleteing individual files it says:

[Error in Deleting File or Folder]
(x) Cannot remove folder AudiblePlayer: The disk is write-protected.
Remove the write-protection or use another disk.

you need to put it in a saline solution mixed with an ammonia bleach... this will help to loosen up the files and clean it so they get deleted easily.

Definately. In fact, go ahead and use rubber cement to fill in any gaps in your computer case esp. spare USB ports where your computer could catch a nasty virus and die.

Don't change these.
