LCD Refresh Rate?

Name: Anonymous 2007-04-14 20:13 ID:YaCBfzpH

So... the video card settings have this options: 60, 70 and 75 Hz.

What should I pick?

These are the ones of my display: 56.0 Hz to 75.0 Hz

I noticed that in 75, there seems to be a "bzzz"-like thing when selecting stuff.

It's not such a big deal with LCDs, unless you're a gamer.

60mhz tops for LCD's

set higher if you want your monitor to blow though...

Lol, had mine at 75 for like 2 years without noticing. Nothing bad happened. Just set it to 60 though, because you do have a point.

Ever wonder why they don't list refresh rates for LCDs, but have this "Response time" thingy?

use DVI

Because LCDs suck and they don't want to reveal that they all use 60- Hz.  I'll enjoy my CRT with 1ns response time in the meantime.

6/10
1ns response time? Even the angry noobs from /g/ aren't going to believe that. Points for effort and execution though.

No you. 8ms LCDs are a little faster than 75KHz CRTs. Learn2divide.

Wait, you can blow your LCD monitor by keeping it at 75Hz?

Don't change these.
