what is this port on my video card?

I've always noticed this but never really bothered figuring it out until now... there's a few ports on my ATI Radeon x800.  One is a regular output port for my monitor.

There's another which I'm sure is S-Video.  I'm not sure if it's strictly for output, or if input (capturing from an S-Video source) is also possible.

And then there's another port that baffles me.  It's white-colored, very boxy-shaped.  Even all the little holes in it are shaped like squares -- about three rows of these holes (which I presume are for pins), and then next to those three rows is a cross with one square-shaped hole in each "quadrant" of the cross.  Just what the hell is this port?  Is this an input port or an output port or both?  What kind of devices can I connect to it?

DVI port for output to a digital monitor (ie: LCD monitors).  higher quality video since there's no digital->analog->digital conversion of the video signal which you would get when you hook a digital monitor to an analog port (VGA or S-Video).

I see... output-only, it sounds like.  Looks like I'll need a separate or new card for capturing video, then.  Unless this thing can take S-Video as input... I'll have to do some research.

In before Opera response.

No.

Avivo is only for X1x00 series (and up) - and it is not what you describe. For video capture one must have All-In-Wonder graphics card.
