Laptop Cooling

What would you guys suggest for keeping a laptop cool?

I am usaully fine, but when I play strenuous games like fear, I'm really worried bout the.... strain it is putting on the laptop.

I don't want to spend 20 bucks on some piece of plastic with some fans.

well, I guess finding another internal fan with higher rpm would work. other than that some mini household fan, you and your lappy get cool!
