Laptop Cooling

What would you guys suggest for keeping a laptop cool?

I am usaully fine, but when I play strenuous games like fear, I'm really worried bout the.... strain it is putting on the laptop.

I rigged up a cooling mat that I use for both my laptop and my PSSlim.  I don't remember what it originally was... the opposite of a heating blanket or something.
