Requirements for being good:
* Good font support, freetype is good.
* Tabs, and easy navigation between them, such as S-Left and S-Right. MAY NOT PRINT CHARACTER CODES WHEN UNABLE TO SWITCH TAB!!!
* Easy to resize to used-supplied sizes (in characters).
* Not ldd `which konsole` | wc -l -> 48.
* Fast (launch and rendering and whatever else) and small memory footprint.
* No stupid bugs or annoyances.
* Sane key support (home and end).
* Easily configurable.
Basically konsole, but without the k ;)

Yeah, except the Konsole code aint that nice. Just removing the K would be pretty tough work.

rxvt-unicode is decent, provided you can live without tabs.

I think I'll settle for mlterm, I don't like [U]rxvt as it's too much like the crappy xterm. This is what mlterm has for it:
ldd `which mlterm` | wc -l -> 18 (after compiling with stuff I don't need)
Uses like a third of the memory konsole used.
Supports Wapanese and whatever I'll want.
Pretty much everything can be configured, including keybindings, so S-Up for creating new tabs (no tabs to click on).
The only bad thing is that I don't think setting the color code for dark blue works... damn I hate it when it's close to invisible, especially as I'm using a transparent BG which is dark blue :/ Also, Shift-PgDn prints some characters if I am already at the end of the buffer. Also, it doesn't have any advanced copypasta functionality, and I haven't figured out how to link the normal selection copying with whatever Firefox uses. (I can do it one way, Firefox -> mlterm)

Why? There are almost NO reasons to run X - the only legitimate exception would be for the GIMP, and even then, 90% of the time ImageMagick will do a faster job.

I use gnome terminal when I'm in x, but that's not often. I'm not in X at the moment, I'm using links.

I'm not using X now, I'm usin Links to browse the web. When I'm in X i usually drop out of it and, if it's not that important, I use Gnome Terminal.

I guess links doesn't refresh like it should, and I end up leaving two replies like an idiot.
