Google video player trojan?

Avast! Antivirus has just today insisted that Google Video Player (the downloaded software) is a trojan whenever I try to use it. It used to work just fine. It's really annoying. I've had to disable scanning of executed programs in order to use it, which leaves me vulnerable. This is obviously not an acceptable solution long-term. Anyone have any suggestions

My suggestion is to stop running anti-virus software. Unless you're an idiot, you really don't need it.

Fucking signed. Anti-virus software is useless. If you have half a brain about computers, it's does far more bad than it does good.

Occasionally, if you get worried, hop over to housecall.trendmicro.com and scan your system. I do this maybe once or twice a year if I find my machine is running funny (of course, it never finds anything, but it's good to check anyway.)
