Google video player trojan?

Avast! Antivirus has just today insisted that Google Video Player (the downloaded software) is a trojan whenever I try to use it. It used to work just fine. It's really annoying. I've had to disable scanning of executed programs in order to use it, which leaves me vulnerable. This is obviously not an acceptable solution long-term. Anyone have any suggestions

windows is better than linux at some things that are good. using exclusively windows and nothing else is nothing more than a symptom of stupidity, just like weeabooing linux
