Do you mean the wiki? Not sure why I should care.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-30 12:14

Yeah
anyway Takahata is underrated anyway

DAMN

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-30 13:29

Hey, are the Star Driver Movie animated gifs newly posted on Sakuga Booru confirmed for being animated by the mentioned animators?

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-30 13:54

>>844
Yes, except Norimitsu Suzuki's parts, but that's because he animated uncredited as always.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-30 21:17

Why are Space Dandy's ships CG? This is horrible.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-30 21:48

>>846
WHO THE FUCK SAYS THEY'RE CG?!

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-30 21:54

>>846
But they're not. Why are you even here when you can't see the difference between CG and hand-drawn stuff?

It's in the wiki actually, but aside from Grave of the Fireflies Takahata movies barely get any mention in general.

That's it... KyoAni is officially finished.

They ain't got shit compared to these powerhouses. Now only if sakuga community would stop talking about them and learn some proper taste.

KyoAni should take risks.
In this rate, they will become JC Staff in a few years.

Are you a fucking drunk? Are you retarded? Are you autistic? You are a fucking idiot and you should never make a post on this board again and I'm fucking serious. I almost have a feeling you're the only guy making all these anti-Kyoani topics because you're a faggot hater who doesn't like the studio because they're good. Fuck you, be good at something in YOUR life and then maybe try to troll these fucking studios on the board, like I give a fuck. It's so easy to spot out your posts now, you're a retard. Always doing stupid shit like this. Why don't you try to be a good poster? Just for once? For once in your fucking life try not to make a post like this. That's just you, you're always right at getting it wrong. Fuck you. You are nothing.

Odd world we live in where Bandai tweets in English the PV isn't region blocked.

Meanwhile scumbag Aniplex region blocks it, Sony cockblocking youtube reups, and judging by twitter, the PV is being played at Chara Hobby, fucking GSC and Ultra Super Pictures

Kill La Kill doesn't look so technical impressive as LWA. Though this was expected - tax money vs. tv series budget.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-31 6:58

>>848

to be fair. The official PV didn't show any special mechanical animations for the space ships.

For stuff like this I would prefer good CG over limited animation.

>>851

Well, the biggest part of the sakuga fanbase are old shounen fans. People barely mention good non-fighting animations here and in the Japanese wiki.

Cast pearls before swine or something like this...

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-31 7:56

Kill La Kill CM was very average (again)

only this cut was OK
http://0-media-cdn.foolz.us/ffuuka/board/a/image/1377/79/1377799957061.gif
but it was just OK, I've seen stuff like this too much to get impressed by it again.

Dude, calm the fuck down.

I think the huge problem with Kill La Kill sakuga is that,
and that's just my opinion,

that Imaishi is forcing all his animators to be Imaishi.
80% of the animators on Kill La Kill are young newcomers, I think he should let them go free. They are fresh blood and anime needs some fresh sakuga now.

Everything looks like an imaishi / Amemiya copy.

http://0-media-cdn.foolz.us/ffuuka/board/a/image/1377/79/1377799957061.gif

But again, this was just a 30 second PV.
I really hope to see some cool stuff soon.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-31 8:12

>fresh sakuga

Oh god please...

Having a consistent art style isn't a bad thing.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-31 8:17

>>863
That's a good point.

I remember a key element in sakuga used to be the individuality of each animator.
I don't feel the "karisuma" in Kill La Kill.

Bones can still offer that.
Lots of animators with individual styles working on Space Dandy.
Specially having Yuasa on board is a special thing.

They are really going for this philosophy of offering the audience lots of variety with each episode.

Kill La Kill feels more like a straight forward Imaishi school through 26 episodes.

I personally prefer variety sakuga, that's why I enjoyed GitS Innocence submarine scene where we see technical Okiura and Inoue among surreal Ohira and Hashimoto.

This reminds me to Koji Morimoto and Otomo's debate at the Akira production.

Otomo wanted to try the disney production style and have everything be very consistent, but Koji was against it. So Akira ended up being something in the middle at the end, both of them were satisfied with the mixed result.

Kill La Kill has become way too consistent, I can't tell who animated what in this PV.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-31 8:22

Looking for the incoming fall shows.

I guess my biggest hope is Knk by KyoAni.

Is this serious or I'm victim of trolling?

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-31 8:27

There is just a 30s CM and people call the show too consistent?

Guys, I'm so happy that you aren't in charge of an anime production.

Kill La Kill looks consistent because it's a complete in-house production.
This is and has always been the result of in-house productions.

Hiring freelancers allows for more individuality but also lots of off-model key-animation.

Karisuma animators are in a lonely environment during their work.
Ohira, Yutapon and Iso never work in a group shared room, they want to be alone.

Iso used to lock himself in a room and thow around with things, you could hear strange smashing sounds, no one knew what was really going on.

Ohira has been working from home since the beginning, only on Akira he was asked by Otomo to come into the studio.

Yutapon also has his own room at Bones.

Anno also gave Iso a special room during End of Evangelion production.

The less you communicate with the other animators during the production, the more you become individual.

Kanada also used to be an animator who never followed the advice of his fellow animators.

it's obvious that your animation ends up looking like Imaishi if he is sat next to you telling you to do this and that.

Not the only troll post this hour.

Is this serious or I'm victim of trolling?

You can answer that question by yourself.

Just look at the CM again,
if you can tell who animated what, then you've been trolled.
If you can't tell, then shit is getting real.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-31 8:41

it's a complete in-house production

Yeah, I'm sure 15 key animators Trigger has will handle a 2-cour series just fine.

Then Bahi is the karisuma-est.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-31 9:10

Havin a consistent art style isn't a bad thing. I'm not sure why people acting that stupid here.
Espencially if the show is already stylized as fuck.

If you want different styles for all cuts Yozakura Quartet will have it.

Name: Anonymous 2013-08-31 9:12

Space Dandy PV looks also pretty consistent for all the talk about total freedom.
