Where do you guys find your reading lists?

Any particular columns or websites that you use to find interesting fiction or non-fictions?  What's your favorite?

Many of the books I've picked up are ones I heard about on the radio. Like radio show interviews, revIews, and alot of the contributors to public radio shows are authors. It's how I found David Sedaris.

Sure. I've picked out titles from /book/, /b/, Youtube, Amazon.com (naturally), T.E.D (the people who give talks have often written books on their topic), Wikipedia, LibraryThing.com. And, of course, friends and family-- which has nothing to do with your question, but relevant nevertheless.

Alot of the sci-fi authors I've found had written short stories for the magazine Crank, which is now out of commision.

I have no favorite website that gives me recommendations, as the new books that are added to my reading list stem all the way back to first initial books I ever read. My nose does most of my book finding; on deciding what to read next.

If it's in the Oprah Book Club, I avoid it like the plague because she has terrible taste.
If my friend recommends something, I borrow it from them and if I like it I'll buy it and/or the rest of the series.
If it's recommended by a website, I do some research into it and may or may not buy it.
If I find it on the side of the road or something, I read it whether it's crap or not because it was free.
If a well-informed employee of a small bookstore recommends it, I'll usually pick it up.

It's all about the trial and error for me.

Most of the ones I check out are from either authors I know will be great, or the Fantasy Debut blog.

One of my friends has very close taste to me, so I'll take her recommendations, too.

Dude, Oprah has pretty good taste in books I think. She's got The Road on there, Middlesex, The Poisonwood Bible, I Know This Much is True, all pretty damn good books.

Blindly select stuff from the shelf. I was going to say friends and family suggestions, but my mom is the only one who has taste so she's the only one I listen to when it comes to books. I also check out authors who have influenced and have been influenced by authors I like.

I would agree with you if you hadn't mentioned some of her most bullshit choices. Hrm.

Don't change these.
