Looking for recomendations In the fantasy genera

have not read to much so this should be easy.
I liked "the name of the wind" and "locke lamora" / "red seas red skys" so right now i am wating for "wise mans fear" and "republic of theives". i was recomended the dark elf trilogy by salvatore and thought it was MEH.

generaly seem to like things that arnt full of magic, at least magic that is not explained in some way and has some basis and isint just a duex ex machina.

ideas?

Don't bother. These snobby literate-fags infesting /book/ either aspire to the very apex of hypocrisy or never do anything that could by their warped values be considered a waste of time (which in itself is an idiotic concept, but whatever), even if it's fun. I bet they sustain their lives by sucking space food out of little tubes because everything else would be too time consuming and unnecessarily limit the time available to furthering their (perceived) elite cognitive abilities.
Either way, they're beyond help - don't let them turn you into one of them by arguing with them when deep down all they really want is some elevation of self-esteem by imagining that they're all part of that very top layer of humanity consisting only of choice individuals such as themselves - their private little club.
The sooner you understand that, the sooner you can ignore them or even be happy for them for finding something giving them satisfaction, however trite it may be.
