Looking for recomendations In the fantasy genera

have not read to much so this should be easy.
I liked "the name of the wind" and "locke lamora" / "red seas red skys" so right now i am wating for "wise mans fear" and "republic of theives". i was recomended the dark elf trilogy by salvatore and thought it was MEH.

generaly seem to like things that arnt full of magic, at least magic that is not explained in some way and has some basis and isint just a duex ex machina.

ideas?

hey thanks for a really trite dictionary definition post but if you read the thread you will see that I made absolutely no claim as to the literariness of fantasy fiction other than that science fiction isn't much of an improvement from it (which it really isn't, almost the same percentage is crap) and I'm not about to name the few fantasy authors that are actually worth reading (there are three or so, and Tolkien isn't one of them) so you can shut up now thanks
