I saw this in a 2 euro book bin and picked it up just for kicks. I had heard of it being mentioned in my history class but didn't really know what was it a like. I was truly surprised when I started reading it. It was good. I was reading medieval literature and was liking it.
I recommend it to everyone even though it may not sound good at all, you should try it at least.

Yes, because accounts of someone who blew his horn so forcefully that his brains exploded are definitely a must-read.
No, I kid, really it's good.

Studied parts of the Song of Roland back in junior high. Only it was in French… I mean ancient French. You can figure out a few things if you know contemporary French, but it's hard.
Go for translations, really ^_^

Yeah, It was translated in kinda modern old english if you know what I mean. I have also read half of L'Morte de Arthur in lightly modernized old english, but it takes me so much time to read it that I'm not sure if I have what it takes to finish. English isn't my native language, so it's kinda frustrating

I should. But I'm half way through so it would be kinda dumb to stop now. How about the Tales of Canterbury? Worth reading?
