That was probably the best action sequence in the series. Nicely done.

One of the crowd scene took a whole month from Takafumi Hori to animate

Good riddance. That movie was god awful.

Smears, in my CGI animation?

gif?

No. The pilot is just what a pilot does. So they can sell an idea to the producers and get funding. Much like how there was a Sword of the Stranger pilot, that was screened several years before the movie came out. Once the go ahead was given to Redline's movie production. The staff were tasked with creating a high quality movie, with that comes restrictions they must adhere to.

Vehicle animation is not hard in the hands of the right kind of animators. Especially a film like Redline, where many of the senior animators were very much adept at mecha animation (they count vehicles under the 'mecha' banner which refers to anything mechanical)

Is there anything Hori can't animate?

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-25 7:06

>>364

That's exactly what I mentioned earlier. It probably isn't an actual smear like in the new Guilty Gear though.

redline is not live
it's a great animated movie

Studio BONES' C studio seems to be working on a show called "Tenkai Night" テンカイナイト http://wanpack.main.jp/archives/1603

2D animators are so lazy these days.
CG everywhere, soon they are also going to replace 2D anime characters with cell shading everywhere.

I fucking miss 2D background animation.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-25 10:24

>>374
First, CGI backgrounds
then CGI mecha
followed by CGI background characters

Finally full CGI anime to be the norm?

I guess they(directors) don't want to get fired like Koike.

I have lots of responsibility on my animation scene right now. directing, cinematography & animating. because the storyboard was super rough

key-animators can have lots of control on anime if the actual director allows it. Of course we are exchanging ideas together, teamwork!!

I'm very happy that the director has so much trust in my work, it's very exciting that I can put all my ideas in this.

Of course I also feel a lot of pressure but Toshiyuki Inoueさん showed me that it's ok to make mistakes and fail, that's how we progress.

key-animators can have lots of control on anime if the actual director allows it. this is also one of the reasons why some key-animators become directors later in their career. It's not just about knowing how to animate.

Now that I think about it, Anno, Miyazaki, Hosoda, Kawajiri, Imaishi and so on.
All these guys were key-animators before they went into directing.

Attack on Animators

Based Yoshihara did it again. Muromi-san #8 was amazing.

Takeshi Honda worked on Muromi-san?
Why didn't anyone upload his scene?
And wich scene was done by Rapparu?

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-25 18:20

what is eyecatch animation?
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=101973
it's on the yuruyuri credits.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-25 18:48

>>390
I believe an "eyecatch" is what those little things at the middle of an episode are called. Before/after commercial breaks, usually says the name of the show.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-25 19:13

>>389
Did you get that from ANN? It's this person.
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=19766

This is the second time I know of this animator appears on Honda's ANN page. (The other was Sakurasou which braves has reported already. What a good job he does keeping ANN credits somewhat accurate.)

Watch 5 minutes of this movie and you will go blind forever

but really, if i'm going to watch this movie, it'll for the action sakuga, GoHands gonna pull their best key animators for this one since Mardock Scramble: The Third Exhaust is already finished.

Name: Anonymous 2013-05-26 14:48

I really wish GoHands wouldn't ruin their good animation with their hideous digital processing.
