Watched, determined they're annoying, stopped watching.

I wouldn't watch a show just because it had a harem of pretty boys, but I'm not some dumb fuck who'll stop watching a good series just because "omg lots of pretty boys this is gay I hate fags omg".

I enjoyed ouran.

i am the OP, i have another question - does male fanservice piss you off? as in pretty anime guys onscreen looking hawt and fapworthy. do you go 'ugh, pandering to fangirls is so lame'? thoughts on fanservice in general?

are you more accommodating with fanservice involving females (i will assume you are not gay unless you say so)

I don't like fanservice of the sexual kind (the in-joke kind of stuff is OK, as long as you know what it's about), because I don't see the point. I'd rather watch something with a decent plot and characters than something that relies on boob jokes, etc.

That said, I think the male kind annoys me less, probably because it's not aimed at me, a straight male. It's doesn't seem so obvious, so it's easier to just ignore. Also, I think male fanservice in general is easier to ignore than random panty shots and stuff like that. (Though, of course, it might just seem that way because of it not being aimed at me.)

Well they're geared to girls who like femmies, so o'kors it'll annoy most people.

Me though, I like them as long as it's got a good bunch of plot. Say like, Saiyuki. 90% of the characters are prettyboys, but there's still plenty of time for fighting, blood, lightly violent domestic humor, and angst-omgs between the fanservice scenes.

Ouran High School Host Club, because the prettyboys are making fun of their prettiness.  And because Haruhi is the best trap ever.
