Anime that reinforces shyness as a virtue tends to result in not overcoming fear of girls, or maintaining a view of politeness and humility that allows more aggressive people to find a girl first. The suppression of agressive urges and release in the form of H-manga fantasies doesn't help either. What anime needs is assertive, confident men who can talk their way in the bed of any woman, not through mere rape, but through not acting like a complete pussy at every moment around a girl. Japan needs to listen to Franklin R Covey or some other motivational speaker. Perhaps all the "seduction secrets" books that are being advertised here would be a hit in Japan, assuming anyone has the backbone to change their introversion.

correction: anime characters don't want to get laid. think of it this way. the lead in the typical harem anime could ask any one of those girls "hey suck my dick". they'd do it. the viewer doesn't want to see this happen! the whole idea of moe is "my superior 2d girlfriend is too pure to put out".
where does h-stuff fit in, then? it's fantasy ABOUT fantasy. if the girl fucked the hero in the anime/manga itself, she would lose her purity. if she does it in a doujin, well, that's just harmless fantasy and if you'll excuse me i'm going to go jerk off to it.
It's not the best thing to do with anime characters, because you can get reminded of waking up easily, and sexual feelings are based on what you'd think a manga character would feel, not actual physical sensation. Plus if you lose concentration she turns into playdoh or your dick starts to tear apart.
